LBPD investigates overnight burglaries

Last night, officers responded to several burglary incidents, and we'd like to remind our community that if you see something, say something to help keep our community safe.

Here's a brief summary of each incident:

  • At approximately 8:20 p.m., officers responded to the 5500 block of El Jardin Street where the calling party stated she saw three male suspects in her backyard. The suspects fled prior to officers' arrival and did not break into the home.
  • At approximately 9:41 p.m., officers responded to the 5600 block of El Parque Street where a burglary had occurred within the last half hour. The suspects smashed a sliding door, entered the home, and stole jewelry.
  • At approximately 9:52 p.m., officers responded to the 4200 block of Country Club Drive where the suspects had pried a door open, entered the home, and stole jewelry.

Officers and detectives are actively investigating these incidents to determine if they are related.

To ensure the safety of our community, we will have increased patrol resources tonight to maintain high visibility. Our patrol officers are coordinating with burglary detectives to further the investigation.
