On Dec. 1, 2022, Burglary Detectives conducted a retail theft operation at a shopping plaza in the 4000 block of Lakewood Boulevard. In collaboration with loss prevention personnel at select retail stores, detectives identified and located suspects, which led to the following recoveries:

  • Three adult suspects, two women and one man, entered businesses located at 4200 and 4150 E. Awaiting patrol officers conducted an enforcement traffic stop on the suspect vehicle, and safely detained the suspects. The male adult suspect was arrested for grand theft, and two female adult suspects were released and not booked for medical purposes. The total recovered loss from this incident is approximately $2,177.

  • Three female adult suspects were entered retail stores located at 4260 and 4250 E. Carson Street, where they were observed committing thefts of clothes. Following the incident, the suspects attempted to flee the scene in a vehicle, however awaiting patrol officers conducted an enforcement traffic stop and safely detained the suspects. The suspects were cited for petty theft and released. The total recovered loss from this incident was approximately $1,200.
