As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department’s homepage and on the “News” tab of the Department’s website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.
Here’s a recap of incidents occurring last night:

No-Hit Shooting – 5200 block of E 2nd Street – On June 1, 2025 at approximately 12:31 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 5200 block of E 2nd Street regarding a shots call. Upon arrival, officers located evidence of a shooting. No victim(s) or suspect(s) were located at the scene. The preliminary information suggests a physical altercation occurred among a group of male subjects, during which one male suspect fired a shot into the air. All parties fled before officers’ arrival. The investigation is ongoing.

No-Hit Shooting – 1300 block of Cedar Avenue – On May 31, 2025 at approximately 11:17 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Cedar Avenue regarding a no-hit shooting. The preliminary investigation revealed two male victims were walking in the area when they were confronted by a group of male adults. As the victims fled, an unknown suspect discharged a firearm in their direction, missing both victims. No injuries were reported. Motive and suspect information is under investigation, as the investigation is ongoing.
