Welcome to the LBPD Blotter!
As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department will begin posting information about recent police activity, ongoing investigations, and other LBPD updates to the Department’s homepage and on the “News” tab of the Department’s website.
At approximately 10:00 a.m. each day, community members will be able to read preliminary information about incidents that may have occurred the previous evening, including shootings, stabbings, traffic fatality, and murder investigations, as well as any other notable incidents. This page will be a resource for the public to learn more about enforcement efforts, arrests, and commendable events and will be updated as new incidents occur.

- No shootings nor stabbings were reported.
Friday Recap - Officers make an early morning arrest of a vehicle theft suspect - On Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, at approximately 1:38 a.m., officers were patrolling the area of East Broadway and Pine Avenue, when they observed an unoccupied parked vehicle matching the description of a previously reported stolen vehicle. During their investigation, officers contacted a male adult subject who was within the vicinity of the vehicle. During the course of the investigation, officers discovered that the male subject had stolen the vehicle a few days prior, and was also in possession of a large quantity of marijuana, with the intent to sale. The suspect was arrested and transported to Long Beach City jail for booking. The suspect was identified as Justicee White, a 26-year-old resident of the City of Carson, who was arrested on one count of felony driving and taking a vehicle without consent and one count of possession of marijuana greater than 28.5 grams. Bail is set at $285,000. The investigation is ongoing.
- Officers arrest suspect for indecent exposure - On Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, at approximately 12:35 p.m., officers were in the area of 100 The Promenade when they observed a male adult suspect masturbating in public. Officers contacted the suspect, a brief foot pursuit ensued, which subsequently resulted in the suspect’s arrest. Officers transported the suspect to Long Beach City jail where was booked. The suspect was identified as Sulu Nofoaiga, a 30-year-old man experiencing homelessness in Long Beach, who was booked on one count of indecent exposure. Bail is set at $10,000. The investigation is ongoing
