Upon arrival, officers located a male adult victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. Officers rendered aid until Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived and transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was later determined deceased. At this time, the motive for the shooting is unknown. Homicide detectives responded to the scene and the investigation is ongoing. A news release with additional information regarding the incident will be published later today on our press release page here.• Officers arrest a suspect in a no-hit shooting incident - Last night, at approximately 6:57 p.m., officers responded to the 3600 Block of East 7th Street regarding a shots call, later determined to be an assault with a deadly weapon.
