Welcome to the LBPD Blotter!
As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department will begin posting information about recent police activity, ongoing investigations, and other LBPD updates to the Department’s homepage and on the “News” tab of the Department’s website.
At approximately 10:00 a.m. each day, community members will be able to read preliminary information about incidents that may have occurred the previous evening, including shootings, stabbings, traffic fatality, and murder investigations, as well as any other notable incidents. This page will be a resource for the public to learn more about enforcement efforts, arrests, and commendable events and will be updated as new incidents occur.
Here’s a recap of incidents occurring last night:- SWAT Activation - 600 block of Atlantic Avenue. On Dec. 26, 2022 at approximately 9:21 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Atlantic Avenue regarding a male adult with a gun inside of a business, later determined to be a trespassing call. Upon officers' arrival, employees and patrons were evacuated, and a perimeter was set up around the location. Officers attempted to call out the suspect, but he refused to exit the establishment. SWAT resources responded to the scene and the suspect surrendered without incident. The suspect was taken into custody and an air soft gun was recovered. The suspect was booked for trespassing and being under the influence of a controlled substance. The investigation is ongoing.
- Officers arrest two suspects for trespassing and possession of burglary tools - 1400 block of West Anaheim Street. Last night, at approximately 11:09 p.m., officers responded to the 1400 block of West Anaheim Street regarding a possible burglary, later determined to be trespassing. Upon arrival, and with the assistance of Air Support (FOX) personnel, officers located two suspects hiding on the property. Officers safely apprehended both suspects and located a reciprocating saw and saw blades in their possession. Officers arrested the following suspects:
- Raymond Causly, a 22-year-old resident of Compton, was booked for trespassing and possession of burglary tools. His bail is set at $500.
- Belen Estrella Lagocristino, a 20-year-old resident of Los Angeles, was booked for trespassing and possession of burglary tools. Her bail is set at $500.
Great work by West Division officers and FOX to safely apprehend these suspects!
