LBPD WEST DIVISION OFFICERS RECOVER LOSS FROM AN ACTIVE BURGLARY

On August 13, 2023 at approximately 5:10 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 800 block of 15th Street regarding a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers observed three vehicles leaving the area. One vehicle, a U-Haul, matched the description provided in the call. When officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, two vehicles immediately fled the area and the driver of the U-Haul exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers pursued the suspect into a nearby neighborhood and set up a perimeter. The suspect was located within. Officers recovered the U-Haul and returned the property to the victim. The suspect was transported to the Long Beach City Jail for booking. Great work by our West Division officers!
