As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department’s homepage and on the “News” tab of the Department’s website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.

Here’s a recap of incidents occurring last night:

• Officers investigate a stabbing: On Sept. 29, 2023, at approximately 11:52 p.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of Stanley Avenue regarding a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers contacted a male adult victim with a non-life-threatening stab wound to the upper body. The victim refused any medical treatment. The preliminary investigation indicates that victim and the male adult suspect were in a dispute over littering outside in a common area. The dispute escalated when the suspect stabbed the victim with a knife. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. Suspect information is under investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
