Officers investigate a stabbing: On Oct. 7, at approximately 5:42 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Magnolia Avenue regarding a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers contacted a male adult victim with a non-life-threatening stab wound to the upper body. Long Beach Fire Department personnel provided medical aid and transported the victim to a local hospital. The preliminary investigation indicates that the victim indoors when the known male adult suspect stabbed him in the upper body. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. The motive for the stabbing is under investigation. The investigation is ongoing.

Officers investigate a stabbing: On Oct. 8, at approximately 5:20 a.m., officers responded to the area of Atlantic Avenue and Rhea Street regarding a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers contacted a female adult victim with non-life-threatening stab wounds to the upper body. Long Beach Fire Department personnel provided medical aid and transported the victim to a local hospital. The preliminary investigation indicates the victim was in an alley when she had a physical altercation with a male adult suspect, which escalated when he stabbed her with a knife. The victim fled and called police. According to the victim, the incident took place in the area of 20th Street and Pacific Avenue. Officers canvased the area but were unable to locate a crime scene. Suspect information is under investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
