As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department’s homepage and on the “News” tab of the Department’s website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.


Here’s a recap of incidents occurring last night:

• Officers investigate a no-hit shooting: On Oct. 25, 2023, at approximately 3:04 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of East 49th Street regarding a shooting. The preliminary investigation indicates the male adult victim was driving in the area of the 710 Freeway and Del Amo Boulevard when he heard presumed gunfire and noticed his vehicle had been struck. Officers located strike marks on the vehicle, however, they were unable to locate a crime scene. Motive for the shooting and suspect information is under investigation. No injuries have been reported and the investigation is ongoing.
