Here’s a recap of incidents occurring last night:

  • Officers investigate a stabbing: On Oct. 1, 2023, at approximately 10:31 p.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Walnut Avenue regarding a stabbing. Officers also responded to a local hospital to contact the two male adult victims, who had self-transported. One victim had non-life-threatening injuries to the upper and lower body; and the stabbing victim was listed in critical, but stable condition. The preliminary investigation indicates that the two victims were outside when they were in a physical altercation with a group of multiple male adult suspects. The altercation escalated when the suspect(s) stabbed one victim multiple times in the upper body with an unknown object. The suspects fled the scene before police arrived. Suspect information and motive for the stabbing is under investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
This information is preliminary and is intended for early information use rather than being a formal investigative report.
