Welcome to the LBPD Blotter!
As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department’s homepage and on the “News” tab of the Department’s website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.
Here’s a recap of incidents occurring last night:
- No shootings nor stabbings reported overnight.

On Nov. 26, 2024 at approximately 10:47 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Locust Avenue regarding someone making threats. Upon their arrival, officers contacted a male adult suspect, later determined to be a prohibited possessor, and found him to be in possession of a loaded firearm. The firearm was later determined to be stolen. He was arrested and taken to Long Beach City Jail for booking. The investigation is ongoing.

On Nov. 26, 2024 at approximately 2:46 p.m., officers were in the area of 11th Street and Alamitos Avenue, when they observed a male subject toss an item they presumed to be a firearm, over a wall. The subject was detained and upon further investigation, officers located the firearm and arrested the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
