As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department’s homepage and on the “News” tab of the Department’s website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.


Here’s a recap of incidents occurring last night:

  • Officers investigate a stabbing – On Nov. 13, 2023, at approximately 9:32 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Pine Avenue regarding a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers contacted a male adult victim with a non-life-threatening stab wound to the upper body who refused medical attention and who refused to cooperate with the investigation. The preliminary investigation suggests the victim was engaged in a verbal dispute with a male adult suspect, which escalated when the suspect stabbed the victim. The suspect fled on foot prior to officers’ arrival. No additional suspect information is available, and the investigation is ongoing

  • Officers investigate a fatal traffic collision: Collision Investigation detectives are investigating a traffic collision that occurred on Nov. 13, 2023, which resulted in the death of a male adult pedestrian. Read the full news release here.
