Officers Investigate a No-Hit Shooting - On May 3, 2023, at approximately 8:18 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of Ladoga Avenue, regarding a shots call. Upon arrival, officers contacted an uninjured male adult victim who claimed he was the victim of an armed robbery. The victim stated he was meeting up with an unknown male subject, later determined to be male suspect #1, when he was approached by unknown male suspect #2. Suspect #2 demanded the victim’s belongings, in which the victim complied, and subsequently resulted in the suspects fleeing in a vehicle. The victim attempted to chase after the suspects in his vehicle, which resulted in one of the suspects discharging a firearm in the direction of the victim, striking the victim’s vehicle. Officers discovered bullet casings, indicating that a shooting occurred. No suspect information is known. No injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
