As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department’s homepage and on the “News” tab of the Department’s website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.


Here’s a recap of incidents occurring last night.

• No-Hit Shooting – 1100 block of South Street: On May 30, 2024 at approximately 10:34 p.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of South Street regarding a shots into an occupied residence call. The preliminary investigation indicates that a male juvenile suspect shot into the residence and fled the scene before officers arrived. Officers located evidence indicating a shooting had occurred. No injuries were reported.The investigation is ongoing.
  
  
• Hit Shooting – Unknown Location: On May 31, 2024 at approximately 4:22 a.m., officers responded to a local hospital regarding a male adult who walked in with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower body. The subject was unable to provide details of the incident. No crime scene was located. No other injuries were reported.The investigation is ongoing.
