This page will be updated as new incidents occur.
Here’s a recap of incidents occurring last night:

Officers Investigate a Stabbing: On May 19, 2023, at approximately 11:08 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Pacific Avenue regarding a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers contacted a male adult victim with non-life-threatening injuries to the lower body. The preliminary investigation indicates the victim and female adult suspect were involved in a dispute when the suspect stabbed the victim with a knife. Fire Department personnel provided medical aid and transported the victim to a local hospital. The suspect remained on scene, where she was arrested and transported to Long Beach City jail for booking. Motive for the stabbing is under investigation. The investigation is ongoing.

Officers Investigate a Hit Shooting: On May 20, 2023, at approximately 2:38 a.m., officers responded to the emergency of a local hospital regarding a male adult victim with multiple, non-life-threatening, injuries to the lower body. The victim had checked himself into the hospital. The victim stated that he had been shot in the city of Long Beach, but refused to provide a specific location and was uncooperative with any further investigation. Suspect information and the motive for the shooting is under investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
