Officers Investigate a Stabbing - Today at approximately 12:37 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 3600 block of Elm Avenue regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, officers contacted a male adult victim with non-life-threatening stab wounds to the upper body. Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived on scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for their injuries. The preliminary investigation suggests the victim was walking in the 3600 block of Elm Avenue when he encountered a male adult suspect. After a brief verbal interaction, the suspect stabbed the victim.
