As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department’s homepage and on the “News” tab of the Department’s website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.
Here’s a recap of incidents occurring last night -
Officers investigate a stabbing – 300 block of West Golden Shore: On March 27, 2024 at approximately 9:59 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of West Golden Shore regarding a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers contacted a male adult victim with non-life-threatening stab wounds to the upper body. Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived on scene and transported the victim to a local hospital. The preliminary investigation indicates the victim was outside with the known male adult suspect, when the suspect stabbed the victim. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. The investigation is ongoing.
