This page will be updated as new incidents occur.

No-Hit Shooting – 1300 block of Pine Avenue - On March 12, 2024, at approximately 6:11 p.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Pine Avenue regarding a shots call. Upon arrival, officers located bullet casings and strike marks, indicating a shooting had occurred. No injuries were reported, no suspect information is known, and the motive for the shooting is unknown. The investigation is ongoing.

Stabbing – 5200 block of Atlantic Avenue - On March 12, 2024, at approximately 6:16 p.m., officers responded to the 5200 block of Atlantic Avenue regarding a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a male adult victim with a non-life-threatening stab wound to the upper body. Long Beach Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for his injuries. The preliminary investigation indicates that a verbal altercation occurred between the victim and an unknown group male adult suspects, which escalated when the suspects stabbed the victim. The suspects fled the scene prior officers’ arrival. No other injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
