As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department’s homepage and on the “News” tab of the Department’s website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.
Here’s a recap of incidents occurring last night.
- No-Hit Shooting – 600 block of East 19th Street - On June 2, 2024 at approximately 1:18 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 600 block of East 19th Street regarding a shots call. Upon arrival, officers located evidence indicating a shooting had occurred. No injuries were reported. Suspect information and the motive for the shooting are under investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
- No-Hit Shooting – 200 block of East Market Street - On June 1, 2024 at approximately 10:21p.m., officers were dispatched to the 200 block of East Market Street regarding a shots call. Upon arrival, officers located evidence indicating a shooting had occurred. The preliminary investigation indicates a physical altercation occurred which escalated when a male adult suspect discharged a firearm in the air. No injuries were reported. Suspect information and the motive are under investigation.The investigation is ongoing.
