Officer involved shooting – 1000 block of Long Beach Boulevard:

On June 16, 2024 at approximately 8:55 p.m., officers were dispatched to a person with a gun call in the 1000 block of Long Beach Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers contacted a female adult suspect who was armed with a firearm. At one point, she pointed the firearm at officers, which resulted in an officer involved shooting. The suspect barricaded herself inside a residence. No officers injured. At this time, it is unknown if the suspect was struck. SWAT is on scene. The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect surrendered and was taken into custody. More information will be available in a news release.
