As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department’s homepage and on the “News” tab of the Department’s website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.


Here’s a recap of incidents occurring last night.

• No shootings or stabbings were reported overnight.

• No-Hit Shooting – 2700 block of Golden Avenue: On June 13, 2024 at approximately 6:33 a.m., officers responded to the 2700 block of Golden Avenue regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located evidence indicating that a shooting occurred. The preliminary investigation indicates a male adult victim was driving when he observed a motorcycle being stolen using a suspect vehicle. After confronting a male adult suspect and female adult suspect, the victim followed the suspect vehicle, which escalated when the male suspect fired a gun. The victim fled the scene and called the police. The suspect fled before police arrived. No injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
