As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department’s homepage and on the “News” tab of the Department’s website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.
Here’s a recap of incidents occurring last night:

Stabbing – 1100 block of E Wardlow Road - On July 26, 2025 at approximately 1:09 a.m., officers were dispatched a business located at 1115 E Wardlow Road regarding a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers contacted two male adult victims with non-life-threatening stab wounds to the upper body. Long Beach Fire Department personnel responded to the scene, and treated the victims for their injuries, however the victims declined transportation to a local hospital. The preliminary investigation suggests Victim #1 and a male adult suspect were briefly engaged in verbal altercation inside the business, which escalated into a fight. During the fight, the suspect stabbed the victim. Victim #2 attempted to break up the fight, however, the suspect stabbed Victim #2 in the process. The suspect fled on foot prior to officers’ arrival. Additional suspect information is unknown as the investigation is ongoing.
