Officers investigate a no-hit shooting: On July 18, 2023, at approximately 12:46 a.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of Pacific Avenue regarding a no-hit shooting. Upon arrival, officers contacted an uninjured male adult victim. The preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was working security in the area when he asked a group of three individuals who were trespassing on the property to leave. After the individuals left, one of them, a male adult suspect, approached the victim and fired a gun towards him, missing the victim. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. Motive for the shooting is under investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
