As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department’s homepage and on the “News” tab of the Department’s website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.
Here’s a recap of incidents occurring last night:
- No-Hit Shooting – 1200 block of Lime Avenue - Today at approximately 2:20 a.m., officers responded to the 1200 block Lime Avenue regarding a shots call, later determined to be a shooting into an inhabited dwelling. Upon arrival, located evidence, including bullet casings and strike marks, indicating a shooting had occurred. No injuries were reported, no suspect information is known, and the motive for the shooting is unknown. The investigation is ongoing.

No-Hit Shooting - 0 block of E Plymouth Street – Yesterday at approximately 9:44 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 0 block of E Plymouth Street regarding a no-hit shooting. Upon arrival, officers contacted two uninjured female adult victims who stated they were walking in near their vehicle, when they were approached by another vehicle with an unknown number of passengers. The victims then observed gunfire coming from the vehicle towards the victims, missing both. No crime scene was located, no injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
