As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department’s homepage and on the “News” tab of the Department’s website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.

Here’s a recap of incidents occurring last night:

• Officers investigate a victim suffering from a gunshot wound -On 1/17/23, at approximately 5:53 a.m.,  officers responded to a local hospital regarding a report of a victim suffering upon arrival, officers located a male adult victim suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower body. The victim stated he was walking near the area of Delta Avenue and Wardlow Road when he heard gunshots, observed he had been struck by gunfire, then self-transported to a local hospital. Officers responded to the area but were unable to locate a crime scene. At this time, no suspect information is available, and the motive for the shooting is unknown
