Officers investigate a stabbing - On Jan. 5, 2024, at approximately 6:00 a.m., officers were dispatched to out of city hospital regarding a stabbing that occurred in the city of Long Beach. Upon arrival, officers contacted a male adult victim with stab wounds to the upper body, who stated he was in the 400 block of Shoreline Village Drive when he stabbed by an unknown subject. Officers responded to the location but were unable to locate a crime scene. At this time, no suspect information is available and the motive for the stabbing is unknown. The investigation is ongoing.

Officers investigate a stabbing - On Jan. 4, 2024, at approximately 9:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of E 7th Street regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call. Upon arrival, officers contacted a female adult victim with non-life-threatening stab wounds to the upper body. Long Beach Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for her injuries. The preliminary investigation suggests the suspect was in the area when she was approached an unknown male adult suspect. After a brief verbal altercation, the suspect stabbed the victim and fled on foot before officers arrived. No other injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
