As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department’s homepage and on the “News” tab of the Department’s website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.
- No-Hit Shooting - 6300 block of Myrtle Avenue: On Jan. 29, 2024, at approximately 3:15 a.m., officers responded to the 6300 block of Myrtle Avenue regarding a shots call. Upon arrival, officers contacted an uninjured male adult victim who stated he was driving near his residence and observed an unknown group of three male suspects. One of the suspects discharged a firearm towards the victim. The suspects fled the scene before police arrived. Officers located evidence, including bullet casings indicating a shooting had occurred Suspect information and motive are under investigation. No other injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
