As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department’s homepage and on the “News” tab of the Department’s website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.

• No-Hit Shooting – 67^th Street and Indiana Avenue – On Jan. 13, 2024, at approximately 8:34 p.m., officers responded to the area of 67^th Street and Indiana Avenue regarding a shots call. Upon arrival, officers located evidence, including bullet casings and strike marks, indicating a shooting had occurred. No injuries were reported, no suspect information is known, and the motive for the shooting is unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
  
  
• No-Hit Shooting – 1400 block of Magnolia Avenue – On Jan. 13, 2024, at approximately 11:34 p.m., officers responded to the 1400 block of Magnolia Avenue regarding a shooting report. Upon arrival, officers located evidence, including bullet casings and strike marks, indicating a shooting had occurred. No injuries were reported, no suspect information is known, and the motive for the shooting is unknown. The investigation is ongoing.
