- Officers Investigate a Hit-Shooting - On Dec. 26, 2023, at approximately 8:01 p.m., officers were dispatched to an out of city hospital regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call. Upon arrival, officers contacted a male adult victim with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to the lower body, who stated he was walking near Long Beach Boulevard and Anaheim Street in Long Beach, when he was approached by an unknown male adult suspect who subsequently shot him. No suspect information is known, and the motive for the shooting is unknown. Officers responded to the area and did not locate a crime scene. The investigation is ongoing.
