Here’s a recap of incidents occurring last night:

No-Hit Shooting – 1400 block of Locust Avenue: On Aug. 5, 2024, at approximately 10:28 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Locust Avenue regarding a shots call. Upon arrival, officers located evidence indicating a shooting had occurred. The suspect(s) fled the scene before officers arrived. Suspect information and the motive for the shooting are under investigation. No injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.

Hit Shooting – 14th Street and Daisy Avenue: On Aug. 6, 2024 at approximately 12:47 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of 14th Street and Daisy Avenue regarding a shots call. Upon arrival, officers contacted a male adult victim who was in his vehicle when he was struck. He had a superficial wound to the upper body and did not require medical attention. Officers located evidence indicating a shooting had occurred. The suspect(s) fled the scene before officers arrived. Suspect information and the motive for the shooting are under investigation. No other injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.

On Aug. 5, 2024 at approximately 2:05 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 3700 block of Lakewood Boulevard. During the investigation, officers recovered a firearm. The suspect was arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.

On Aug. 5, 2024 at approximately 8:33 p.m., officers responded to the 1600 block of Cherry Avenue regarding a domestic violence call. Through their investigation, officers recovered a firearm. The suspect was arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
