As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department’s homepage and on the “News” tab of the Department’s website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.

Here’s a recap of incidents occurring last night:

• Officers investigate a no-hit shooting – Today at approximately 4:49 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Broadway and Alamitos Avenue regarding a no-hit shooting. Upon arrival, officers contacted an uninjured male adult victim who stated he was driving his vehicle in the 1100 block of E Broadway, when he heard presumed gunfire and immediately observed his vehicle had been truck by gunfire. The victim continued to drive until he got to safety and called police. Officers responded to the 1100 block of E Broadway and found evidence a shooting occurred, including bullet casings. No injuries were reported, the motive and suspect information is unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.
