Stolen vehicle with SWAT Activation - Anaheim Street and Clark Avenue - On April 28, 2024, at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle in the area of Anaheim Street and Clark Avenue. The suspect refused to comply with the officer’s commands and subsequently barricaded himself within the vehicle. SWAT resources responded and a use of force (pepper gel) occurred. The suspect exited the vehicle and was taken into custody. The suspect was identified as Tywon Andre Patterson, a 37-year-old resident of Twentynine Palms who was booked for stolen vehicle and one count of resisting a police officer. Bail was set pending magistrate review.
