Officers Investigate a Stabbing - On April 20,2023 at approximately 9:47 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 4600 block of Long Beach Boulevard regarding a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers contacted a female adult victim with non-life-threatening injuries to the upper and lower body. Long Beach Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital for her injuries. The preliminary investigation suggests a known male adult suspect entered the victim’s residence, resulting in a verbal dispute. The dispute escalated when the suspect struck the victim in the upper body with a blunt object and stabbed the victim in the lower body. The suspect fled in an unknown direction prior to officers’ arrival. No other injuries reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
