E-COMMERCE EXCHANGE  ZONES

A SAFER WAY TO MAKE IN-PERSON TRANSACTIONS

E-Commerce Exchange Zones are located in public parking areas outside of LBPD substations, which are 24/7 facilities. These exchange areas are equipped with security cameras; however, camera feeds may not be actively monitored at all times. The visible presence and proximity to law enforcement, combined with camera coverage, helps provide a safe space for e-commerce exchanges.

These zones are intended for in-person exchanges that originate from online platforms. Typical exchanges include items such as electronics, household goods, tools, sporting equipment, and collectibles. All transactions must involve legal items only; prohibited or illegal items including drugs, weapons, or stolen property are not permitted.

The Long Beach Police Department has signage posted at the North, West, and East Division sub-stations that identify the public parking lots at the stations as “E-Commerce Exchange Zones.” Sellers and buyers can arrange to meet at one of the police sub-stations listed below to make their e-commerce exchanges: 

North Division: 4891 Atlantic Ave Long Beach, CA 90807
