CONCEALED-CARRY WEAPONS (CCW) LICENSE

California Penal Code § 26305 states that CCW licenses may be issued to honorably retired peace officers who have met the minimum years of service and have accepted a service or industrial disability retirement.
Honorably Retired LBPD Peace Officers Requesting a CCW Endorsement Must:
- Complete the Retired Peace Officer [LBPD Retired Peace Officer CCW Application Writable Rev.2020] application.
- Contact the LBPD Range at 562.570.5974 to schedule an appointment.
- Contact the Live Scan office at 562.570.5142 for a new photo/Live Scan.
- Appointment availability: Tuesday – Friday: 8:00am, 8:30am, 2:00pm, 2:30pm.
- Appointment availability: Tuesday – Friday: 8:00am, 8:30am, 2:00pm, 2:30pm.
- Completed application must be brought to your live scan appointment and will be collected by the CCW Unit. Please allow one month to process. If you do not have the application filled out upon arrival to your live scan appointment, you will need to reschedule.
