CCW FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The handgun must also be capable of being concealed upon a person or within a reasonably sized bag/purse. Cosmetic customization to firearms is permitted, as long as it does not violate any State or Federal laws. There are no caliber restrictions and ammunition to be used must comply with State and Federal law. You may have up to three (3) firearms on your license.

3. If I have a current license with another iurisdiction, but I live in Long Beach, do I renew with Long Beach?

4. When should I submit my paperwork to renew my license?
Please submit your renewal application 90 days prior to the expiration of your license.
(Example: if your License expires December 10, 2025, you need to apply for your renewal license in September of 2025.)
