EAST DIVISION NEIGHBORHOOD WALKS
The East Division Neighborhood Walks program will take place throughout East Division from September 28, 2021, to November 26, 2021. Officers will walk in strategically determined areas to engage with the community in nearby neighborhoods, parks, and businesses. The areas include the neighborhoods surrounding Rotary Park and the Anaheim Street business corridor.
Officers who normally work in East Division have been selected to participate in proactive community engagement during the afternoon and evening hours, several days a week. These officers will focus on building strong relationships with residents, community organizations, and businesses in the neighborhood as well as help address concerns and connect the community with resources. During this program, officers will also participate in and organize activities and meetings throughout the community.
