UPDATE: The Long Beach Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance with information related to an unsolved murder that occurred on May 15, 2016. Detectives located several witnesses who identified a red Mercedes Benz and a gray Volvo SUV with Nevada License Plates (similar vehicles pictured above) that were seen fleeing the area immediately following the shooting. Detectives were also able to obtain composite drawings of two persons of interest related to the homicide investigation. The female has been described as having red hair at the time of the incident.
The suspects are described as a male black with dreadlocks, in his early to mid 20's, and a female black with red hair, light colored skin, in her mid 20's.
Detectives also collected video footage from numerous surveillance cameras in the area of the murder. The video links below show two vehicles of interest, click on below links to view.

On May 15, 2016, at approximately 5:51 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of 61st Street and Orange Avenue regarding a shooting that just occurred.
Upon arrival, they located a male adult with an apparent gunshot wound to the upper torso. He was transported to a local hospital by Long Beach Fire, and was listed in critical condition.
On May 25, 2016, we were notified by the local hospital that the victims had died from his injuries.
The victim has been identified as Victor Eugene Alford a 37 year old resident of Wilmington.
