On Tuesday, March 1, 2017, at approximately 7:04 p.m., Long Beach Police were dispatched to an unknown trouble call in the area of Long Beach Boulevard and 48th Street, which resulted in the death of a male adult.
Arriving officers located two victims who sustained gunshot injuries. Long Beach Fire Department personnel transported a male adult victim, in stable condition, to a local hospital. Fire Department personnel also determined a male adult victim deceased at the scene.
The Los Angeles County Coroner will make positive identification and notify next of kin.
A motive for the shooting is unknown and the investigation remains ongoing.
