On Friday, July 8, 2016, at approximately 4:05 a.m., Long Beach Police were dispatched to assist Long Beach Fire Department personnel with a fire involving a recreational vehicle, in the 900 block of Loma Vista Drive. Upon arrival, Fire Department personnel found an adult victim inside the vehicle and determined the individual deceased at the scene.

Long Beach Homicide detectives and Arson investigators also responded. Their investigation is active and ongoing.

The Los Angeles County Coroner will determine cause of death and make positive identification.
