Community Advisory Committee
The Office of Constitutional Policing (OCP) analyzes current policies and practices to ensure alignment with the highest standards, legislative mandates, and community perspectives.
In February 2021, OCP established the Community Advisory Committee (CAC) to act as a vital resource for the Police Department by providing community perspectives in the Police Department's formation of public-facing policies and practices. The CAC acts in an advisory capacity and is intended to provide a forum for discussion to gain a broad spectrum of viewpoints for the Long Beach Police Department executive team to consider while forming policies and practices. The CAC also helps the Police Department increase transparency and public trust.
The CAC comprises active Long Beach community members representing a diverse collection of backgrounds and experiences, including but not limited to education, non-profit organizations, public relations, faith community, business, and youth representation.
