Leadership Academies

The Long Beach Police Department Youth Leadership Academy (YLA) and Female Leadership Academy (FLA) are free weeklong programs for Long Beach high school students. These programs are designed to help students strengthen essential leadership skills and foster positive relationships with law enforcement.

Through a series of engaging workshops, interactive discussions, and team-building exercises, participants will gain valuable insights into leadership principles, conflict resolution techniques, and community engagement strategies. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with law enforcement professionals to enhance interpersonal leadership development and increase career awareness in the public safety sector.

Lunch and snacks provided daily.
