LBPD Senior Police Partners

The Senior Police Partners are a dedicated group of volunteers who work hand-in-hand with our Police Department to provide civilian support and meet the needs of vulnerable seniors in our community.

What We Do:

  • Elder Fraud & Abuse Victim Assistance
  • Peer Support and Resource Referrals
  • Vacationing Home Security Checks
  • Graffiti & Dumped Item Reporting
  • Crime Prevention & Awareness Presentations
  • Handicapped Parking Warnings & Citations
  • Limited Safety Patrols
  • Special Events Assistance

Request a Service:

  • For all senior support requests, or to request a presentation, please reach out to SPP@longbeach.gov or 562-570-7212. We offer the following presentations:
    • Scam and Fraud Prevention
    • Senior Safety
  • To request a home security check during a planned vacation, please submit a completed Vacation Check Report to SPP@longbeach.gov.

Interested in Becoming a Senior Police Partner?

Volunteer Requirements: 

  • Be at Least 50 Years of Age
  • Have No Felony Convictions
  • Be in Good Physical Health
  • Be of Good Moral Character
  • Ability to Volunteer at Least 20 Hours per Month
  • Valid California Driver's License and Vehicle Insurance
  • Have Basic Computer and Smart Phone Skills
