SENIOR POLICE PARTNERS
The Senior Police Partners are a dedicated group of volunteers who work hand-in-hand with our Police Department to provide civilian support and meet the needs of vulnerable seniors in our community.
What We Do:
- Elder Fraud & Abuse Victim Assistance
- Peer Support and Resource Referrals
- Vacationing Home Security Checks
- Graffiti & Dumped Item Reporting
- Crime Prevention & Awareness Presentations
- Handicapped Parking Warnings & Citations
- Limited Safety Patrols
- Special Events Assistance
Request a Service:
- For all senior support requests, or to request a presentation, please reach out to SPP@longbeach.gov or 562-570-7212. We offer the following presentations:
- Scam and Fraud Prevention
- Senior Safety
- To request a home security check during a planned vacation, please submit a completed Vacation Check Report to SPP@longbeach.gov.
Interested in Becoming a Senior Police Partner?
Volunteer Requirements:
- Be at Least 50 Years of Age
- Have No Felony Convictions
- Be in Good Physical Health
- Be of Good Moral Character
- Ability to Volunteer at Least 20 Hours per Month
- Valid California Driver's License and Vehicle Insurance
- Have Basic Computer and Smart Phone Skills
