Personnel Administrator

Administrator Law was appointed as the Department’s Wellness Administrator in March 2022. Administrator Law will oversee the enhancement of the Department’s occupational safety, health, and leaves programs and ensures superior customer service for personnel utilizing these programs. Administrator Law will oversee the creation of a comprehensive traumainformed wellness program geared to the types of stressors, trauma, and work conditions common in law enforcement environments. This includes the development of a robust Peer Support Program, comprised of diverse personnel from throughout the department.

Administrator Law has been with the City of Long Beach for nearly 15 years. During that time, she served as a Special Projects Coordinator at the Multi-Service Center, in the Department of Health and Human Services, providing oversight of programs and services for people experiencing homelessness. Prior to joining the Long Beach Department, Administrator Law was with the Civil Service Department, where she served as the Personnel Analyst for the Police and Harbor Departments facilitating major Police Department hiring and promotional processes. 

Administrator Law holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from California State University, Long Beach. Administrator Law has also completed a certificate in Human Resource Management from Loyola Marymount University. Administrator Law has over 22 years of experience working in the non-profit and public sectors, and currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for Child Lane
