Investigations Bureau
The Investigations Bureau includes three divisions - the Forensic Sciences Services Division, Detectives Division, and Special Investigations Division.
Forensic Sciences Services Division
The Forensic Sciences Services Division provides critical support in criminal investigations by collecting, analyzing, and interpretingevidence from crime scenes. The Forensic Sciences Services Division includes the Crime Laboratory and Evidence Control. The Crime Laboratory includes units dedicated to Firearms, Controlled Substances, Toxicology and Latent Prints. The Evidence Control Section is responsible of intake, storage, and disposition of all property received as evidence.
Detective Division
The Detective Division is dedicated to investigating crimes and ensuring justice for victims. The Detective Division includes the Adult Investigations Section and Special Victims Section. The Adult Investigations Section is responsible for Auto Theft, Burglary, Financial Crimes and Collision Investigations. The Special Victims Section includes Child Abuse, Computer Crimes, Domestic Violence and Sex Crimes.
Special Investigation Division
The Special Investigations Division is dedicated to proactively addressing and investigating crime to ensure the safety of our community.The Special Investigations Division includes the following sections: Gangs & Violent Crimes, Homicide & Missing Persons, Drug Investigations, Vice, Robbery, and the Career Criminal Apprehension Team.
