Public Swim Hours:

The City of Long Beach is scheduled to begin construction on the Belmont Outdoor Temporary Pool to address some repair work needed on the concrete deck. The pool will be closed from November 21 – January 2023.  The outdoor 25-yard pool across from the 50-meter pool will be open for public use and will adhere to the current lap swim and recreation swim hours. Water Exercise will be temporarily suspended during the construction work. Please check out King Park Pool and Silverado Park Pool for their water exercise schedule. We will update our website once we have a reopening date for the 50-meter pool.

Belmont Pool is closed on Sundays into the foreseeable future. All effort was exhausted to minimize disruption to public programming but not having enough lifeguard staff is a safety concern which has resulted in the Sunday closure. The aquatic staff is working diligently to hire more lifeguards to help medigate this problem. We apologize for the inconvenience and will provide an update once we are able to reopen on Sundays.

Thursday, November 24 & Friday, November 25 (Thanksgiving)
December 25 & December 26 – Christmas Day Observance
