NATURE KIDS! DISCOVERY CAMP

Join us at the Nature Center for fun and exploration this summer!  Children will experience nature through investigation, hands-on activities, games, and crafts. See schedule below.     

PRESCHOOL SESSIONS  

For children ages 3 - 5 years old. Classes run from 10 a.m.– noon. 
Children must be potty-trained. This is not a parent-participation class. $100 per week. 

What’s on the Menu – July 7-11 – Class# 66662 All living things need food to survive, but their meals come in many different forms. Let's discover which Nature Center residents are eating in and which are dining out! 

Super Senses – July 21-25 – Class# 66719 
Every animal has a special power to make them unique. Discover how animals use their fantastic hearing, super cool vision, terrific touch and awesome sense of smell to survive and thrive in the wild.

Nature’s Architects – August 4-8 – Class# 66720 
Explore the trails to discover the colors and shapes that nature has to offer. Each day we’ll explore a different shape and color to uncover their purposes in our natural world. 

Dinosaur Adventures – August 11-15 – Class# 66721 
Journey back to a time when dinosaurs ruled the world. How did these amazing creatures go from the mightiest to gone? Through art and exploration, come learn about our dino-buddies. 

YOUTH SESSIONS 

For youth ages 5 - 8 years old. Classes runs from 9 a.m. – noon. 
Children must have completed kindergarten. $120 per week. 

Nature Mode – June 23-27 – Class# 66640  
Get into creative mode and join us for a fun week to explore this biome. We'll create pixel art, look for pollinators, examine rocks, and more! 

Spy vs. Spy – July 14-18 – Class# 66645  
Calling all sneaks! Can you slither like a snake, camouflage like a moth, or see in the dark like an owl? Nature is full of stealthy critters, and you can be one of them too. Come discover all the ways animals live their lives undercover. 

Marvelous World of Mud – July 28-August 1 – Class# 66646 
Dive feet first into the wonders of mud. Whether you’re building a house, cooling off, or just looking to have some fun, mud is the answer. Join us for a squishy week of exploring everything this ooey, gooey substance has to offer. Note: This will be a hands-on class, towels and clothes that can get dirty are required. 

Pirate Camp at Colorado Lagoon - AAARGH – August 11-14 –Class# 66648  
Just like real pirates, campers must work together with their crew to accomplish challenging tasks such as building a boat, tying knots, making maps, and following them to hidden treasure! Adventure and surprises await. Note: Class will be held at Colorado Lagoon daily.
