History
This park is located at the end of Naples Plaza Drive and is often known as Naples Plaza Park. In January 1965, the City Council approved a contract for construction of the park. Planting was completed in April of the same year.
This bay front park consists of an elongated strip of land running from the beginning at the west end of Corso di Napoli and terminating at the east end of Corso di Oro. It extends about 15 feet in width from the seawall to the private property line, but variability in width does occur with the less than perfect match of the shape of the seawall and the shape of the property lines. The park roughly centers on Naples Plaza, where a teardrop shaped turn around exists to prevent a dead end, and to provide street frontage to the properties on either side of Naples Plaza. About 1990, the turn around was closed, connecting the island in the center of the turn around to the strip along the bay front. Improvements include park benches, turf and palm trees.
