Cressa Park is part of the open space that spans the Los Angeles River in west Long Beach.

History

The .94-acre park opened in 1998 as a passive area with native plants and a walking trail.A dedication ceremony took place on May 1, 2010, honoring volunteers who transformed a formerly barren city owned lot into a park.

The Stewards of Cressa Park are a committee of the Wrigley Area Neighborhood Alliance who regularly volunteer to conduct park cleanups, and weed and mulch the area.
